Importance of Motivation in Learning!

The purpose and importance of motivation should be clearly understood by the teacher. The fundamental aim of motivation is to stimulate and to facilitate learning activity.Learning is an active process that needs to be motivated and guided toward desirable ends. Learning is self-initiated, but it must be aided by motives so that the learner will persist in the learning activity. A definite motive is valuable in all work, as motives make for readiness. The greater the readiness, the greater will be the attention given to the work on hand and the sooner will the desired result be achieved. It is important to attempt to get the learner into a state of readiness for it increases the alertness, vigor, and wholeheartedness of learning. In trying to achieve some end, the more acute the readiness, the more satisfying the reaction. The activities which are futile become annoying. One sure means of putting the law of effect into operation is to assist the learner to achieve ends and p...

HOW USEFUL ARE SELF-ASSESSMENT TESTS

Image
Waiting almost weeks for the announcement of the results, hoping and praying, believing that "I" would be accepted, but in the end, facing the reverse-it has become the history. 21 century and the advancements in technology enormously facilitated our lifes and now, it is available to pass so called "fake examination" online. Great option and advantage for applicants. Now, they can get the idea whether they are going to be students or not and worl harder if their results are not satisfying them. Contemporary applicants can forsee their "educational future" instead of hoping for the assesment, but,God knows what would happen in the reality,so to pray we anyway have to.

MY TEST TAKING STRATEGIES

Image
Among millions of existing strategies, people always try to opt for the most complex one without accepting the naked truth of our reality:most sophisticated or complex is not always the most cool. Every bit of information in holy books in this world are prioritized to explain that the simplicity worths more than sophistication. My way,or lets say my perception of test taking is to make it as simple as it possibly could be, and by that I mean includes the oral examinations. In paper, it is in fact possible to cheat by rewriting the anwers from the person next to, but in tet-a-tet conversations, it would become dilemma. The emotions, behavoir and body language would reveal whether the individual is cheating or not. The exam taker would show the invigilator whole his/her knowledge of this subject. What may be inside the psyche will be revealed to others rather than swindling. It is just a talk, but the value is more than the millions of papers filled by students.

PROS AND CONS OF DIFFERENT SOCIAL MEDIA APPLICATIONS

Image
Chinesse sign "In-yan" means the balance of good and bad in this holy planet, but for a while, lets imagine that is depicts advantages and disadvantages of,lets say, social media apps. And initially, lets have a look on facebook (or instagram as both are Zukerbeg's apps)!! What do we get from it? Funny pictures, ridiculous videos or stupid posts of others. Whats more is negative infomation like pornography or racism, violence and terror. The device that everyone posesses now enormously impacts on the beholder. Not yet developed mind of youngsters would anyway be filled with that sort of information as the power of negative has been much stronger. And what happens as the result is axiom. Fear made by ill founded data woulf create the anger and negligence, virus in the minds of millions may change the perception of our reality. Only ash may be left after if that tendency will not be changed. However,as in the white we saw black,so in black it is possible to notice white. A...

Strategies For Teaching ADHD Students At Home

Image
According to the Learning Disabilities Association of America Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is not considered a learning disability.  But the reality is that many students who have ADD/ADHD have other associated issues which do hinder their ability to learn according to the traditional education plan that exists in most public schools.  Even without additional learning disabilities students with ADD/ADHD and their teachers often need adaptive strategies to make learning less difficult. Three of the issues that teachers, and this includes homeschooling parents/teachers, have to deal with in students with ADD/ADHD are: Distractibility.   Students with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on any one subject for extended periods of time.  One way parents/teachers can deal with this is to keep lessons short.  Help the student to break down larger tasks into a series of smaller tasks.  Math is one of those large ...

My First Impressions and Expectations od the University Classes

Image
I was lucky enough not to be as nervous as most people when I first rocked up to UZSWLU . More than anything, I was excited. It was a lovely, sunny day, so the campus looked even more beautiful than usual (I’d visited before on an open day). To be honest, I didn’t come with high hopes for my accommodation. I thought it would be worn down, cramped and possibly antisocial, but I was SO wrong! I was in the Uzbek block, my room was spacious, WARM and the block was full of life! I’d already spoken to my then-future flatmates over Facebook, so I knew who to expect when I got there. Everyone wanted to get to know you, so it wasn’t hard to find friends, and by the end of Freshers’ Week there were people I felt I’d known for months. I was nervous going to my first course briefings as I didn’t have friends on my course (which is Philosophy) yet. When I turned up though, I sat myself down with a bunch of lovely people who I found myself next to. One of them turned out to be my close...
